The shortlist for the 2nd annual Sustainable Biofuels Awards have been announced ahead of the Awards ceremony on the 16th March.
The Sustainable Biofuels Awards are given in recognition of the tremendous wave of innovation and ingenuity that isoccurring across the biofuels world to develop truly sustainable and renewable fuels that reduce transport emissions in atransparent, measurable and sustainable way.

These esteemed industry awards have 6 categories and an independent Judging Panel will vote on who they consider to provide thegreatest sustainability benefits as measured by:
- GHG savings, environmental impact and further societal benefits of the operations/technology of the nominees
- The best case for adopting or promoting biofuels use
- Greatest contribution to developing the industry by a Biofuels Leader
The SBA Awards received more than 60+ nominations from all across the World and at the end of the nominations are some of theunlucky entrees that did not make the shortlist but still warrant special commendation and we urge everyone to again enter for 2011!

- Sustainable Biofuels Technology Award – for a technology supplier improving the efficiency and sustainability of biofuels production

- Biofuels Leadership Award – award an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of the biofuels industry
